Job Qualification Requirements:
EDUCATION: The position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in International Tourism and/or Hospitality Management or a closely related field. The academic program must include coursework in tourism and hospitality management, financial management, strategic marketing, operations management, organizational leadership, human resources, hospitality law, and hospitality technology systems.
WORK EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 24 months of progressively responsible work experience in hotel management, including multi-departmental oversight, staff leadership, and profit-and-loss accountability. Applicants must demonstrate expertise in revenue management, yield optimization, and market segmentation using advanced statistical and analytical tools. Knowledge of global hospitality trends, international guest service standards, and cross-cultural customer service strategies is essential.
OTHER SPECIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Foreign Language and Cross-Cultural Competency: In addition to English, the position requires proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese due to the hotel’s established and ongoing business operations that involve a significant clientele, vendor base, and corporate partnerships from Hongkong, China, and Taiwan. A substantial portions of the company’s marketing reservations, and guest relations services are conducted in Mandarin and/or Cantonese. In addition, the position requires: (a) Direct communications with VIP clients and travel partners who conduct business exclusively in Mandarin and/or Cantonese; (b) Managing and coordinating promotional events and business development initiatives from Hongkong, China, and Taiwan, where Mandarin and/or Cantonese is the primary means of communications. Leadership and Strategic Management Skills: Must have proven and demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams across departments such as front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and sales. Must have proven success in strategic planning, market positioning, and operational restructuring to enhance profitability and brand reputation.
Technological Proficiency: Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS), Revenue Management Systems (RMS), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, as well as familiarity with hotel industry ERP platforms. Ability to implement and manage emerging technologies such as AI-based booking systems, smart room automation, and data analytics dashboards for operational optimization.
